Pitch Night, Memphis
Tickets: support.litememphis.com Let’s Innovate through Education (LITE) will host its semi-annual Pitch Night on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM in the Fogelman Executive Center at the University of Memphis (330 Innovation Drive). At Pitch Night, high school Finalists showcase ventures that they have been developing over 4 months. Finalists present innovative prototypes, sell products, and pitch their ventures in a vendor-style and stage pitch setup for a chance to win cash prizes. To date, Finalists’ ventures have generated over $175,000 in revenue. Until April 26th at 11:59 PM, the public votes for the 8 Finalists that will pitch on-stage at Pitch Night (via http://www.litememphis.com/pn-voting). Attendees at Pitch Night select which ventures receive thousands of dollars in additional funds. A panel of judges has been added to this year’s winning criteria, to include Mike Hoffmeyer of the Crews Center for Entrepreneurship, Ryan Ramkhelawan of Start Co., Andre Fowlkes of Start Co., Audrey Willis of the City of Memphis, and Whitney Hardy of Epicenter. Pitch Night will be emceed by Andre’ Monie of 95.7 Hallelujah FM and State Representative London Lamar. This event is $10 per person for advanced tickets and open to the public. Tickets to Pitch Night are more than admission - they represent the opportunity for future LITE students to launch ventures.

We all admire the work that teachers do, but unless you've been in the classroom, you can never truly understand it. Teachable Moments is a unique live storytelling event for current and former educators in New York City.
